MILK WITH FRUIT
Mix milk with fresh ripe and/or frozen fruit, preferably organic, in the blender to make a delicious smoothie!
MILK WITH SWEETENER
Add honey, maple syrup or a little table sugar.
MILK WITH COFFEE
Like a cappuccino!
MILK WITH CHOCOLATE
Make chocolate milk or cocoa, preferably organic.
MILK WITH ICE CREAM:
Blend milk and icecream and you have a frappe!
READ ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS CAREFULLY! Most are full of additives like guar gum and
carrageenan which can be irritating. They do not say what the natural flavors are. We recommend pure ingredients like those found in Haagen-Dazs vanilla, strawberry and coffee:
Hagan Daaz Vanilla: cream, skim milk, cane sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract
Hagan Daaz Coffee: cream, skim milk, cane sugar, egg yolks, coffee
Hagan Daaz Strawberry: cream, skim, milk, strawberries (not listed as organic unfortunately) cane sugar, egg yolks
Many other Haagen-Dazs flavors contain other ingredients and we would not choose them.
We recommend working up to six 8 oz glasses of milk daily which will give you 1800 mg of calcium. It may seem like an insurmountable amount of milk but when you figure out how to consume it, you may be surprised how easy it is and how much it supports your energy.
